Welcome to my corner of the web! I’m Shibin Das, an Indian-born engineer turned software enthusiast with a passion for crafting innovative solutions and contributing to the world of open source.

My journey began with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics, which laid the groundwork for my career in technology. After gaining experience as an embedded engineer, I transitioned to software development, honing my skills in LabVIEW and Visual Basic. However, it was my introduction to Drupal that truly sparked my interest in open source and collaborative development.

My involvement in projects like Storm and Drupal PM at drupal.org allowed me to immerse myself in the vibrant community of like-minded individuals, sharing knowledge and building tools that empower others. Alongside my contributions, I delved into the realm of project management, leveraging my expertise to develop internal tools for organizations and gaining invaluable experience as a project manager myself.

Seeking new challenges and greater flexibility, I embarked on a journey as a freelancer, embracing the freedom to work from diverse locations while continuing to pursue my passion for technology. It was this spirit of adventure that led me to Hamburg, where I found a homebase at Factorial GmbH in Germany.

Most of the time, I am busier than a handicapped cat trying to bury its shit in a marble floor. Yet, amidst the chaos, I thrive on the excitement of tackling new challenges and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of technology.

Now, I blend my technical expertise with a deep understanding of project management to drive forward-thinking solutions at Factorial GmbH, all while remaining connected to the global community of innovators and creators.
